How To Recover Data As Vista Has Crashed?

This morning when i opened my laptop windows would not start.So it ran a discontinuation and i ended up
with my computer going back to the way it was when i first bought it. I want to know how to recover my data and get it back to the way it was yesterday.

My Acer 5715Z Laptop crashed. I had Windows Vista. I design to convert my internal HDD to an USB External HDD. Can I still access my data if i try to access it by connecting it to the USB in another Vista System?


Answer: Depends on what you aim by Data. If you mean pictures, music, movies... data files... then yes. You might have to "confiscate the permissions" from the drive, to remove any trace of your former password, thus making that impetus useless for further booting to Vista (until a reinstallation was performed on it)... but yes. How Can I Recover Vista OS And Data, If There Is A Message "OS Is Missing" On Start-up.?

I have a MSI notebook with a windows vista starter OS.
Ironmongery: 160Gb hard drive, core 2 duo processor, 2gb ram, and so on...

I finished seperating the unattached partition into 2, since I want to dual boot my pc with Vista OS as primary and Windows 7 as ancillary.

But... it all went so wrong. I used acronis disk director and partitioned it. After it partitioned, It booted up and prompted a "OS is missing" report. I couldn't continue using it even

1 reboot your comp and while rebooting keep clicking on the F11 key(in most vista computers) this will start recovery manger and you will be adept to restore your machine to the "out of the box" state.
2 use the vista disc mangment to do the partitioning and never use any other prog as this will end up with what you have reached so far (rt click my computer-managment-disc managment)
3 fit the other OS in the other partition
