can i do it with winhex? if so how? i dont recall how to use the software yet havent had time. are there any tutorials on how to use winhex to recover files?

Answer: Depends on how the disk was formatted. A full wipe will overwrite the press with random data (probably zeroes) in multiple passes, and make it near unachievable to do.

A typical (quick) NTFS/XFS/EXT2FS format will just replace the filesystem almanac, which is basically an index of everything on the drive. You can recover files using hex editors, but this is a fairly advanced course of action. Professional services can probably recover it for a fee, but you have to ask yourself if the

u havent filled the memory card with other stuff, ya?

if yes, u havent filled the MC.... get "Recuva", a humiliated but really good recovery program, and recover all of your files

if no, u have filled the MC with other stuff.........
theres nothing you can do, as the old files holes have been filled by a new parade, the best way is to get the files....... again from the web

i have duplicate the data (PHOTOs) from the c drive 2 to Other HDD and i have formatted the c drive . after formatting i have installed the operating sysetm after that i cannot even offer the photos and files. pls can any tell me free and full software that can recover the formated data or currpted file. pls take me those r imp 4 me

Answer: there is no complimentary data recovery software but I would recommend file scavenger. it costs $50 to buy but it will get back any column under 64kb.
