I updated a carry on using Microsoft Word at the local library. Some how the next time when I went to use my disk I kept getting a "your disk is not formatted or approachable" error.
| Answer: You can try Influential Undelete. It doesnt recover everything 100% of the time, but its worth a shot. |

I found this disk in a desk drawer and tried accessing it from several computers with A drives. It was labeled with the name of a deceased allied, and I know it contains pictures of the person, so getting the pictures from the disk is very leading to me. I was able to access the disk and actually saw the pictures on one computer. I took it out to try it in another computer that had a cd burner to blacken the pictures to a disk...not realizing that it was pure luck that they opened at all. Now,

Hi:
I have Compaq Armada 450 Mhz laptop.
My windows XP is corrupted. It is automatically re-booting when it starts. It is re-booting in "average mode", as well as "safe-mode" or "sheltered-mode with command prompt".
I am booting from CD drive, but CD drive is very muffled now, and laptop is not able to boot from CD, because it can't read CD. May be because CD lens is very weak....

| Answer: Do not I replica do not re-install windows. You will lose the items you are trying to restore. If you want to get back the data, there are usb to IDE, SATA connections you can get. Pull your hard drive out and use this adapter plug the usb into a ceaseless machine. You will see that It will come up as another drive. There you will be able to back up your info. |

Recover Data From An OLD Mac PowerBook ? |

I have an earlier Mac PowerBook (not sure what model, maybe 140, with black and white sieve, 3.5" floppy, and a hard drive of maybe 100 MB size).
I'm a PC actually, and don't normally deal with Macs, but I need some suggestions for transferring data from the old mac onto floppies or some other mid.
Do old versions of MacOS have some compression software available? I am able to copy files to diskette, but a lot of these are documents which I'd appetite to try
| Answer: There should be an old conception of Stuffit on the Mac. It will compress the files for you if it's a full version. The latest version will open the old stuffed copies. I am guessing you won't have that many diskettes to fill. I discredit if the hard drive is half that size. You can always set the old MacBook up for file sharing and see if there is an etherenet kin ont he MacBook. |
