Can Someone Else On Another Computer Recover Data That Was Removed By Formatting The Hard Drive?

Is there a way to lock wipe the external hard drive clean so that no data is recovered?
And yes I plan to give my difficult drive to someone but I don't want them to recover anything. I also want to use a secure delete program, but I don't want to convert the hard drive useless. So please if anyone knows of names or ways to completely wipe the outward hard drive clean, but yet useable.

Answer: If it's unreservedly imperative that the data be destroyed, the best thing is to physically destroy the hard pilot (as in, rip it to shreds).

If you still need to hard drive to give or sell to someone else, you can look into a disk cleaner program which will repetitively write garbage data over the hard drive until there's very little hope of ever recovering the data. This will be at least 99.9% safeguard.

My computer gives me a categorize of weird errors and doesn't load windows properly anymore. How can I recover the knowledge on my hard drive? I saw a program named norton ghost or is that for computers that still profession? lol

Answer: You will call to recover the data using something like asoftech photo recovery. http://www.asoftech.com/apr/

I've had to use it many times in the years but it will require that you plug that drive into another system as a slave and run the software from there. It will rebuild the drive and with any luck recover the files.

My mom accidentally deleted all of my photos off of my computer! I checked the recycle bin but they're gone. Is there any way to get them back without paying a lot of wampum? I have to save because I go to college soon. Please help!

Answer: You can often successfully recover deleted files from a PC, it all depends on what has happened since the files were deleted.
When you efface files the data itself isn’t deleted, just the index entry that tells the system where the data for those files is located. The square footage containing the deleted data is also now marked as free space so it is available for any new files to be written there a substitute alternatively.

If and when that happens, then it is too late

How Do I Recover Data From My Computer?

my computer loops through the start up screens and doesnt make tracks it to the desktop. i have tried safe mode ect and it still wont go to the desktop. its an 2003 hp desktop with windows xp and had the latest windows updates. i indeed need to get my photos and videos of my newborn daughter before pressing the recovery button on the rear.what program can i use? any step by step instructions would be great. please help. i did some research and it said norton ghost might recover the data ? thanks

Is There Any Way I Could Recover Data From A Computer That Wont Start Properly?

my computer recently went perfectly stupid
it turns on n everything
but before it shows the desktop, it shows this screen n it has 4 selections, 3 of which imply safe mode
and 1 which is to restart the computer normally..
anyway
long story short i cant get to any of my info and i dont have a back up (absolutely stupid i know)
is there any way i could recover my data??

Answer: by any means the hard drive could be out boarded to another computer.The best solution is to take the computer to a computer service and have it diagnosed and corrected. Get a dazzling drive. They are cheap
