Computer Will Not Power On. How Can I Recover Data From It?

My computer will not power on and I would like to recover files from the steadfastly drive. Is there an easy way to do this?
I'm not very good with working with computers. Is removing the burdensome drive from a laptop difficult? How can I then connect it to another computer?
I've removed the hard run and placed it in a hard drive enclosure to access with my working computer. Thanks for the responses.

Answer: I normally just remove the hard drive and hook it up to another computer and then just copy the data off of it.

i was working on my PC as well-known, suddenly the power went out but when started my computer later, it wasn't working. the windows might have been corrupted so i re-installed the windows but then i found that all my data from the unkind disk had been vanished.... how do i recover it? please tell me because i have a lot of important data on my PC. please help. my PC contain all types of files ranging from documents to music files. please support???

Answer: If you reformatted your drive before reinstalling Windows, then a lot of it's in all probability gone for good, seeing as you overwrote lots of files.

How Can I Recover The Data Which I Have Lost Due To The Power Failure.?

during defragmentation of one of my disks there was a power mind-boggler, and as a result i have nothing on the disk except a folder reading 'restore' and inside it some folders in chinese or japanese . can anyone escape me in recovering that data.? is there any software to get that back.? i was using 'paragon hard disk manager 2008' to defragment the disk.

Answer: chkdsk will overwrite your files. do not run it. when most people run this program it produces files with a .001 compass. In any event those files cannot be opened even when renamed. What's worse is that those files are saved to the same getting one's hands as the original files making future data recovery attempts impossible. Try using some impute to only data recovery software, run a scan and see what turns up. I've used this software with good sensation. http://www.cbltech.com/data-recovery/sof

Cooked External Hard Drive Power Supply- Can I Recover Data?

I was an idiot and I plugged a 19v off into my external, which is supposed to take a 12v adapter. It made a funny noise and now won't turn on with the proper 12v adapter. I suppose I have just fried the power supply but not the hard drive. Am I correct? Would simply transferring hdd to another perceptible drive casing work, or have I likely damaged the hard disk as well?
