Hay community, i have a bit of a quandary and was hoping there was someone out there that could lend some knowledge on it. Well first of all it started with my not so great Lg Incite, i had an 8 gig micro SD HC practical joker in it with a rather good amount of irreplaceable files on it (i know i know i should have backed it up) but one day i restarted my phone and it came back up with a crowd of the icons missing (since they were on the card it couldn't find them) so i went to file explorer an looked

My computer crashed recently and I took it to be repaired and the intently drive was reformatted and XP reinstalled. I was wondering if there was any free data recovery programs that could restore entire directories (like my documents) if they can still be recovered.

as above,i have recently reformatted my computer and do not be to lose the files i have previously so i have been considering sending my old hard drive to a store where they can do data recovery.However i'm wondering if those people doing the recovery are able to see my personal files or not?

I'm succeeding to travel to vietnam very soon and from what I heard the airport's government officials there like to go into your seclusive business by doing a scan of contents on the hard drive. I have nothing illegal on my insensitive drive and all i have is pictures of my family. I'm wondering if when i do a factory reset recovery of my laptop which reformats the windows partitionment of my hard drive and reinstall windows, would it destroy all data on it so it's unretrievable ??
