My HP Pavilion dv2000 laptop stopped working a few months ago. The shroud is just blank but the power cord indicator light still works when it's plugged in. I did everything that the HP place said to do in an attempt to fix it, but it didn't work. I think the computer is just a lost result in now, but I still need to get all my data from it, because I didn't have any backup files made. Can Anyone Recommend A Good And Reasonably Priced Data Recovery Service?

I ruminate over my backup external hard drive has died. When I turn it on it makes 'clicking' sounds for a few seconds then stops, and no longer shows up in the operating system. Frankly, I'm almost in tears over this as I have important files on there and this was my backup (the original files no longer exist). I haven't got thousands of pounds to splurge but if anyone can recommend a good and reasonably priced data recovery service in and around London or even the UK, I'd really conscious of it.

How Can Get Files From A Dead Laptop?

my toshiba laptop is not working any more. and i didn't backup the files on perpetually, i only have some files saved.

so is there anyone to take out the hard drive and do something about? i can think of a few options.

1. send it to those data recovery secondment places, but it might cost a lot, and i don't feel comfortable letting them checking out my personal files.

For years I've stored most of my files on an perceptible hard drive to give my laptop more room to process. Not ready to buy a new laptop with more storage yet. I recently as good as lost a lifetime of files when the external drive wouldn't plug in (managed to wake up the scenic route one last time to grab the files, so no outrageous data recovery fees, but it was a near thing).
