Windows XP File Recovery?

I have Windows XP To the heart and it got corrupted and was missing various dlls (mostly all of system 32). I used a 12 Disk set of system recovery that gave me the R (Shape while keeping files.), F (Reinstall). Well I used that and managed to get the computer working again and now all the files are missing other then programs. Is there anyway to stimulate those lost files using a program or anything?

Answer: Presumably not, but it's worth a try with a file recovery program. Here's some free programs to recover files:

Does Anyone Know Of A Good File Recovery Program For Windows Xp?

I have a windows xp clique that the hard drive has just about crashed. It boots up asking for various files that are missing. I am difficult to just recover the files and then will toss it away. It usually boots up to a downhearted screen. I am looking for a progam that either will boot up automatically or will boot up from a dos or comamand induce and i can use to transfer files. Any ideas?

How Do You Use The Recovery Console To Repair A Bad File In The Windows XP Operating System?

My laptop will not boot up and it gives me a bulletin saying that I can attempt to repair a windows config.sys file using the recovery console by putting in the model operating system disk and pressing "r" when the option comes up. I have done this and it takes me into a recovery calm, but I have no idea what to do next.

Answer: I myself would reload the id back to the factory level,either by the d drive inside or format the drive if you have the recovery disc,i have found out over the years it is A- to do this rather than trying to fix something already fouled up,if you try to fix it ,you will most likley cause other things to go crazy,i am running 3 systems,never have i had any stroke of luck getting things fixed by 'restore to earlier time',i just do the unstrained way,reload the thing,and it does not hurt it either,i

Answer: I characterize as you mean defragmenter because that is a defragmenting software. One of my personal favorite is Diskeeper 2010 for defragmenting as it takes a more proactive path to keeping your HD nice and ordered. For file recovery I would recommend Acronis True Image. It allows you to invent a copy of your entire pc and place it on either cd's, dvd's, or an external hard drive. From them you can restore your computer if anything goes unfitting. I highly recommend you check them out because

Is It Legal For Me To Offer My Recovery Iso File For Windows Xp Home Recovery As A Download From My Website?

I am an OEM System Builder and would like to presentation my Windows XP Home SP2 iso file as a download from my website so I dont have to send recovery disk with ever PC I erect!
Technically its not illegal I know but I am no lawyer and I dont want to have missed a ring hole somewhere that says I cant do this. From what I gather from MS its not illegal because without the Product Key the software is useless. But, the media can not be distributed without a valid produce key or in OEM case customer

Answer: Nope.. As a system builder you should no be versed that would be a violation
