Windows XP Recovery. I Deleted A Net Gear File I No Longer Use And Now The Computer Doesn't Boot.? |
Question by r0cky74 | Posted in Other - Computers
I tried system bring back but it will only take me back to the point I deleted the Wireless USB adapter file. After I do the restore to that point, the systems boots but will sink to reboot the next time I try to use it. The computer (Dell GX240 Desktop) came refurbished from a reseller who claims not to have the recovery disc. It bears Microsoft Stickers for 2000 Pro and XP Pro Refurbished. What do you mention?
I attempted to reload XP from my copy I purchased for another PC.
Answer: Hello Indifferent;
You will need to step back here a little bit.. Sorry...With out the original Windows that is registered there is no way to get any upgrades or protection patches that are critical and that leaves you vulnerable. However, if you have the ability in the past to get the upgrades and insurance patches then you have a registration copy and you should be ok.
Lets start there first to find out.
