I recorded an hour of a admonish using Griffin iTalk on a jailbroken iPod Touch 2G running iOS 4.0.1. Before I could cleave to the "end recording" button, my device randomly resprung, and when I went back into the iTalk attention, my file was gone. I know that with normal "spinning rust" that the fill out itself isn't deleted, only the pointer to the file is deleted, and that using data recovery software, it is easy to regain one's strength your files.
