We are developing an industry with VB. Right now we need to retrieve specific data and assign it to a variable in the application. Anyone knows how to do this? Thanks in approach.

Answer: Use ODBC. Amenable the mdb file. Use SQL to select the data you need. Assign the fields in the recordset to your variables. If you search vb odbc access you'll get a lot of examples.

How To Retrieve Data From Backup On External Hard Drive?

I bought a hitachi outer hard drive which has all my data backed up on it. I want to retrieve my data from the external drive but my data is in hundreds of zipped files. Windows will not hand on it onto my computer for me.

Answer: If you use the windows mechanism to backup, then use the same tool to restore data.

I filled my exterior hard drive up to the max and now when I connect it to my computer it asks me to format the drive. How do I retrieve the data I have on it?

Answer: Download and place any data recovery software on the PC (never install it on the drive you are going to recover data off). Then start the software and be specific about your external drive as a target for the recovery.
Note, you need a free array equal to the amount of the recovered data.

How Can I Retrieve Data From My Laptop Affordably?

I have a laptop that can't boot the operating system. I ran diagnostic tests on it and it says blocks of the diligently-drive are corrupted. I want to reinstall the Windows XP operating system but I have a lot of data I want to retrieve before I style the hard-drive.

Is there any way of recovering the data for $70 or under?

Answer: You should download a BootCD such as Hirens CD:

Develop these instructions to get your computer to boot from USB drive (easiest in my opinion):

Once you boot in to this, you should be capable to manage your files just like in normal Windows.

Connect in an foreign HDD or another USB and transfer the files that you want to keep.
