2x250GB SATA HDDs in an unknown RAID configuration.
The computer is 2.5-3 years old.

Answer: My first trace would be to run chkdsk from a command line, even from a windows install disc (vista or 2000, or if you have a PE, or charged CD), chances are it might find bad sectors on the HDD, or missing indexes and such. If chkdsk says its all good than you might have a virus in the boot sector, not proof. Answer: Frankly, sickening. You have around 13 different codes in there, leading to very few chips chosen a round. I'd say to have them all S conventions/* code. Answer: In inclusive this is the start if a killer machine. The main problem will be that graphics card, which is not a paragon for gaming. It'd be great for AutoCAD, but terrible for modern shooters.
I don't see the CPU cooler listed, which might hint at its the stock Intel one. For no more than $30 you could get a much better cooler. (anything from Arctic Cooling)
