I recently had to have my HD replaced as well as have data recovered from that HD on my apple notebook. I out around $1500 to have all of this done, it really sucked, especially since my notebook is only 2 years old and its an APPLE, I thought these things aren't reputed to happen with APPLE pcs. Anyway I had to pay, and I know from experience and from the constant disclaimer from the shop doing my data recovery, that I might have to reinstall software and that some data may be missing.

Compaq preciero v 3000 notebook with vista key,1GB RAM. Unfortunately use 'restore factory setting' and lost my recent important data. I pine for to recover image and excel files. Unsuccessful to recover using data rally software. There is a file on D named RECOVERY having size 6.27 GB but properties of RECOVERY shows only 120 KB.Is there, any another evidence to recover data?
