What Exactly Is A Recovery Partition ? |
Question by confused | Posted in Software
Please fully interpret! How can it be accessed? I am planning to reinstall windows xp home and people are telling that by doing so, my hard-boiled drive will be reformatted and I will lose Recovery Partition forever. How can make CDs of it and then remove it?
I am new to computers.
What does it bring back?
Answer: A recovery partition is like a sedate space in your hard drive that stores things you delete so that they can be restored later with recovery programs like System Reconstruct.
It also has some backup system files, so that it's easier to fix corrupted system files.
It's like a second recycling bin, when you perpetually delete a file, it goes to the recovery partition. |
