What's The Best Setup For Hard Drive Backup?

I miss to get two terabyte hard drives. I'm going to use one of the drives I have now for my OS disk and then have one of the new drives for saving media and the subscribe to for primary backup of the media drive.

So, my questions are:
Is that the best way to set it up as in, if my media catches a virus or bricks, will the twinkling drive likely be affected?

What would the best software for automatic back up be?

Answer: You might necessity to check out CrashPlan to manage the backups. It can backup data to another drive and take care of it all automatically for you. I have been testing it lately and have been impressed with it so far.

I have a backup on an surface hard-drive but Can't seem to get it to restore - can someone please tell me how to do this?

Answer: I am not favourable here, as I use a remote backup service, but I would assume that you did the back-up through some sort of software, possible even the windows based software, but you would trouble you restore using that same software, as the data is likely encrypted. I wouldn't suggest such a costly option for backups with the price of remote backups dropping so much. What i homelessness to do is make an entire hard drive backup of my brothers pc, and use it on my pc because his has vista and mine has xp. I plan to use Virtual PC to use it. Will that work?

Answer: It will not exertion because of license issue. Like VMware, it has capability to convert normal computer icon to VMware image. But during login to Windows, you will need to do windows activation again and absolutely activation will fail since you use 2 same Windows into different PC (illegal)

I had righteous bought the 250gb Seagate Expansion Portable Drive today and was wondering if this could back up all of my saved games and other files on my PS3 Slim. If this could calling, how would I backup the files and put on the external hard drive, and then how would I put them in a different PS3 Slim?
