i extremity a free hard disk data recovery software as my hard disk is formatted and need to recover some important matter.
Please can anyone tell me where will i get free hard disk data recovery software where i can recover 100-200GB of data?

Answer: I don't invent free software can help with your problem. Some small utility can recover materials for free but I'm not sure 100% that they can recover your data intact(maybe they breakdown it or just recover it but can't open it).
Asoftech Data Recovery is a better choice and I have acclimated to it to recover the files I accidentally deleted.Cost a bit but safer.

I bought a computer on craigs catalogue and its all virused out. I need to do a hard disk recovery. I cant do it through window because the icon in the applications folder is not there.

How do I access the recovery separation drive to do the recovery?

emichines.com wants to charge me 60 dollars for their tech endure. I know its something simple and not worth that much .

Clone HP Laptop Hard Disk, Will Recovery Partition Still Work?

I own a HP DV6000 laptop. I am planning to clone my ongoing 120 GB laptop hard disk to a bigger one, say 320 GB. I want to do this so that I can have more disk space and try to install Ubuntu on the outstanding space.

I am worried that if I clone the hard disk to a bigger one then the recovery partition will not work anymore.

Answer: It should reproduction the recovery partition with the other. Norton Ghost used to back when computers still came with floppy drives. I haven't tried keeping the recovery meting out since then. So, I hope this helps some. My suggestion would be to go ahead and clone it. Then, try and restore your computer with the new hard drive. If it works, clone it again so that you have all of your files. Either way, you still have the initial hard drive if the project fails.
