How To Burn Bootable CD And Restore A Hard Drive Without Recovery Cd? |

Ok I got a Windows XP instal ISO File from a Torrent. It is a free student edition used to teach and its legal. It said to waste it to a cd using Nero. I got a Nero Demo and burned a CD with it. It says when you boot it up in the intend it should start the installation process, but nothing happens. I wanna know if there is some thing that I am doing indecorous about burning it. I burn it like a Data CD that could be the problem. Same with the Linux CD I burned it only worked with the CDs I ordered.
| Answer: You have to flame the ISO as an ISO --if you burn it as a data CD, then all the burner does is copy the ISO file to the CD. An ISO file is a disk sculpture, so the entire ISO has to be burned to the CD as if you were copying an entire CD to the... to the CD... Look around in Nero's settings... or you could download http://www.deepburner.com/ <-Ardent Burner, which asks you when you open the app if you want to burn an ISO. Deep Burner is freeware. |

Answer: God willing the easiest answer would be to get a USB to IDE/SATA cable, or a USB hard drive caddy. Either chance will be cheap, you'll find tons of them on eBay, and many good computer shops will sell them too. That way you can plug the zip into a spare USB port, rather than opening your computer. The cable is probably the best option - they chiefly have connections for 2.5" laptop drives, 3.5" desktop drives and SATA drives.

our computer which got messed up before and had someone put windows xp proficient on it and recovered all our data got messed up again. I ran a free windows registry cleaner and it made it so that when u rebooted on the computer the desktop visualize would load and nothing else and rendering it inoperable. we took it too office depot to to load all the c make's data on to an external hard disk. What Is The Possible Cause For The NTLDR To Be Lost? |

One of my employment computer can't boot as it says that NTLDR file is missing. I'm not sure what CD the computer is looking but my boss honourable pass me a CD and it boot. I was dumbfounded when that CD is actually a recovery disc and it erased everything in the computer even the accounts account!
My boss didn't blame me since he was the one who gave me the CD himself just that I wish to retrieve back the fallen accounts data for him.

Answer: ntldr means that the nt loader can't be found - the windows station has got corrupted
you will probably be able to get the data back with a data / file recovery program such as get data back - I'm not to sure about free stuff though
don't use the gang in the meantime as using the drive may cause the files you are trying to recover to be overwritten |
