my 40GB Bitter Disk stopped working, it is not detecting at all. I have another hard disk with OS installed which is working fine. But other one speedily disappeared. I removed it & tried all possible ways but it was not detecting on any systems.

I have 40GB of my data in it which I can't grant to loose. Can anyone please help me with this? How can I recover all my data?

Answer: It sounds like the electronics died.
It would be most adroitly to have the recovery done professionally if the data is critical, as they have the correct tools to do the job.

A soul mate lost many prized pictures when his hard drive failed. The drive cease suddenly rather than making any noise hinting at a problem. I believe motor or electronics have failed rather than a superior crash.

MANY choices are found searching for "data recovery service"!

Test Disk: Data Recovery Over The Network?

Can anyone report me of a method of using the TestDisk/Photrec program? I need to recover my files but I do not reallyu demand to remove any external drives from the host computer. If not, are there any programs that can do this as well?

Affliction version allows to view recoverable photo only, and full version costs only 30 bucks, so I bough it without infuriating. Luckily it worked. Just that scan may take long time depends on verifiable disk capacity.

Vista Recovery Disk? Data Loss?

The steely drive on my laptop went bad a couple days ago. I can't get it to boot Vista appropriately; the farthest I can get is the Startup Repair--which informs me that I have a "bad disk." Don't know if this is earthly damage or just corrupted files. Thankfully, CMD is available in the list of additional options, and I've old it to look around the disk a bit. Everything personal seems to be fine, I'm just thinking there's a problem with the OS files. So I'm about to use a Vista Recovery

Answer: your deeply drive may have a bad sector (corrupt). when you were in the command prompt did you run Chkdsk to search for bad sectors and strive to repair them? if so try using your recovery disk and re write your start up files. for some reason the BIOS cant find the OS. most likley your back-breaking drive needs replacing.
