Zip Drive Recovery Data?

I bought a 100Mb zip compel about 2 years ago. Recently when I tried to open documents on my zip but to no avail. Iomega retinue told me there was a problem with the disk. They told me I need to find a data recovery speacilist b/c they would charge me $350.
I at the end of the day need to retrieve the documents or copy them on to another disk. Is there an inexpensive way to do this myself instead of paying a companions more money than the zip actually cost?

i have a pen vim of 8GB (kingston) . Few days back my all data was formatted accidentally. There were some very important data (like zip files and huddle files) which i want to retrieve. Can anyone please tell me any software, which is free of cost present for download.

Answer: Double off, data recovery is EXPENSIVE. Asking for it to be done for free is like asking for a free Ferrari.

What Data Recovery Program Recovers The Most File Types?

I have an old verifiable drive and I've already used Runtime Software's GetDataBack on it, great program. Here's my predicament, as far as I can see GetDataBack only recovers 5 file types: JPG, AVI, DOC, MP3, and ZIP. Most of the files that I want to recover are INI, WMV and MPG so while GetDataBack worked high-grade for my old pictures, it didn't offer much else. I used it to make a image of the disk, but when I put that form onto a new hard drive it says that there is no file system, so I can't

How Can I Recover Lost Data?

Data was sent to a zip disc for shielded keeping but it's all gone from the computer. How can i get it back without paying money to some data recovery agency that might not get it back anyway.

Answer: If the zip alphabetize is on windows xp, you can try a system restore to a point where you knew the file was good.

Try sourceforge.net for opensource recovery software. I got some a year ago, but I don't advised of the name. I may still have a copy. I will look for ya.

all of my files are stored on a zip disk. recently when disquieting to open files in ms word i get the message "... not accessible. disk media is not recognized. it may not be formatted." and when i try to unrestricted the disk on its own the message is "the disk in drive e is not formatted. do you want to arrangement it now?" can you recommend any software that might help recover these files

Answer: Im guessing it is not prospering to be accessed.

You should use a better backup program.

I use Norton Ghost 14.0

Acronis 2009 is also a grand program.
