Will This Work For Hard Drive Recovery?

I have a raid 0 computer. I defraged my computer with a bad sector on one of the impregnable drives. I now need to recover some data.

Can i recover data by plugging one HD at a time into a 2.5" HD run and having another computer take the data off it?

Answer: Indubitable providing the drive is still functional and the data you are looking for isnt corrupt

How To Add A SATA Hard Drive Drive To A PC With An IDE Master Drive?

I have an older asus A8n5x mobo with 4 sata ports. I've never hardened them. Don't hardly know anything about them. I want to hook up at least one ide hard drive aside from the control as well as the sata drive. I'm not doing raid, just data recovery. Can I mix sata and pata? does one or other exigency to be set as master? How do I configure the sata?

Ps, The OS is XP sp3, already installed on the current ide master.

Thanks.

Answer: You don't have to configure the SATA drive. They always run as "know" by default and won't conflict with other drives as they have their own dedicated channel.

Configure the ide drives impartial as you always would, with one set as "master" and one as "slave" via the jumpers or wire select.

Remember, SATA and PATA drives (sometimes called ide) are fundamentally the same except for the interface they use to "talk" to the hinge

Anyone Heard Of This?

I drudgery in IT and my boss sent me an email last night that says:

"SAS (6G is preferable) to USB or Firewire 800 converter.
A hub (with 6 or more connections) is preferable to idiosyncratic converts.
Purpose is to mount RAID arrays for data recovery."

I'm totally new to IT, been in the field less than a year and my electric cable area of focus was hardware repair and virus removal. I have no idea where to start with this. I'm assuming he wants

Answer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAS_%28soothing ware%29

I think this will get it for you.

hope this helps

Which normalisation transformation corresponds to "Eliminating partial key dependencies"?

unnormalised to 1NF

1NF to 2NF

Answer: 1) Any of them are certainly part of a DBA'a fault, but in the sense of 'most appropiately part of a DBA's responsibility as opposed to another position", I'd say tuning.
2) 2NF->3NF ("The key, the whole key and nothing but the key, so eschew me Codd.")
3) Enforcing consistency
4) Corrupt data (insecure data is a security worry and incorrect data a matter for constraints)
5) 2: DDL and DML
6) Not sure, but if I had to hazard a guess I'd say 'durable'...most

How Do I Recover Pictures And Video From A Backup?

One of my internal realistic disk went out. They were set up in RAID 0 and lost all data. Got a new hard drive and re-installed Windows XP. Had to start from "hurried" as I could run the Acronis Recovery for some reason.

I still have the backup material. Only thing I want are my dearest pictures and videos. Any ideas on how to get it back?

I know it's there somewhere.

Answer: if it is in a floppy then introduce it into the computer and copy your picture or whatever or if they are in a CD or DVD then insert the disk and again copy it to your computer or if its in a hardisk than use that hardisk in preference to of one u are using now
