Answer: Ubuntu is not inescapably your only other option. There is also a Linux Live CD called Knoppix which is superficially similar to Kubuntu, but is nobable for the complicated tools installed -- it was originally created by a computer consultant named Klaus Knopper for his own physical use as a desktop when working on client's computers.
I want to suggest you spend some stinking rich. Roughly $40 US. Barnes and Noble, the last time I went in there (anywhere) had Kyle Rankin's Knoppix |

How Far Back Do Data Recovery Software Programs Go? |
Question by Jason | Posted in Other - Computers
A few years ago I deleted photos from a moment in my life that I THOUGHT I wanted to forget. Now that I'm a little older, it would be nice to have photos to reminisce over that time in my life. I'm thinking about buying a software recovery program but I'm not sure how far back they typically go on my intent drive. Any advice?
Update:
The data recovery software worked like a charm. I ended up using Systematize Scavenger and was able to find my old files...plus many, many more! Thanks.
Answer: Mortal time has nothing to do with it. It all depends on if the space those pix were on have been over-written or not.
When you delete something it is kind of pushed aside by the eagerly drive until that space is needed again, then it gets over-written by other data. You might try a free recovery software first. Here's a relation you can check out for recovery software.
