Data Recovery After Hard Drive Failure?

I'm looking at purchasing a few 500gb internal hard drives and a hard drive dock to use as storage. I really don't have faith hard drives as they are mechanical devices and all mechanical devices will eventually break. My point is, if one of my hd's fail mechanically or otherwise, is it possible at all to retrieve the data stored on them?

Data Recovery Hard-drive Cost?

Has anyone ever done data recovery from an (outside) hard disk?
There are some service/shops that do this, even if the disk is broken in two (mine is just not working somewhere in the power coupling), but I don't know the cost.
Have anyone do it so he can tell an estimated cost?

Answer: You can acquisition an SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter. Then you can use a brand new connection and power supply to affiliate the external hard drive to your pc. The cost is a little over 20 bucks and it will give you the ability to browse your hard disk to bring back your files. But if the problem is not the power supply and the disk is damaged you should take it to a professional.

now i can no longer depress f10 to go to the system recovery

I just bought a new hard drive and i accidentelly formated the HP recovery drive...

How can i have my recovery drive like i had it before?
now the second hard drive (D) its like unlocked...

Hard Drive Data Recovery Help?

I have a seagate unrestricted agent desktop 500 gb hard drive. In a move of clumsiness i knocked it off my desk and now its not working. =( I be aware its the motor and i know that none of the components are broken (besides the motor). Is there anyway I can recover the data i had on it without paying a off colour amount to some computer repair man.
