Answer: If your talking putting them back on the server. You can't. But you can bid someone them on the server by opening the setting and checking the box leave messages on server.

Data Recovery Programs?

I accidentally wrote over my 1TB pitiless-drive with windows, I tryed some free ware to restore it. Unfortunately they took 3 days and all the files were named supernatural stuff like F65467698 and it only got back a fraction of them, some were damaged. Does anyone know a program that can get my files back all named appropriately, not corrupt and take a reasonable amount of time. It does not matter the price as some files were irreplaceable.

I am on windows XP nursing home edition.

i have a compaq maxtor D740X-6L 20 gig hdd i want some help with i need to know whare i can find the jumper setings to put it in to repair procedure and ware i can find repair software for it on the web for free it is makeing funny humming and clicking sounds it never made be and it will not show up un my computer i deprivation to know how to get it in to repair mode so it will show up under my compter and i can start the free recovery soft ware to find all of the data on the hdd can any one help

Answer: I advocate calling customer service from the Maxtor website because when I tried to search for aid on their website, it bounced me to seagate's website. So there may have been a buyout or something. And it was non-obvious how to get any help on Maxtor specifically.

In one's own view I hate Maxtor. They die, suddenly and badly, and often. But that's just my personal experience. So you may be masterful to find help for it by calling them up.

I neediness help with my computer. It is an HP dv7 (US) laptop. Yesterday, my computer was attacked by a vicious virus trying to push me spy ware. I was unable to log onto the internet, access Word, Excell, ect. I got in touch with HP support and they said my system was infected and they could stimulate my laptop to factory settings but that I would lose all my saved data.

You could try to install Recuva, http://www.piriform.com/recuva , and see if that could find something of your old files, but in common, unless you're willing to take your hard drive to the real professionals, it's likely gone.
