Follow the following steps and you can get back your departed data:
1. Do not save any new file to this hard drive.

Hard Drive Crashed!! Needs Data Recovery!!? |
Question by Feather | Posted in Add-ons
Hello all,
I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 6400 (working with Windows Vista) and since yesterday, the earnestly drive is not detected anymore. I don't understand what happened. I went to a computer store, and someone there told me the stony-hearted drive had crashed, and that the data was completely lost.
However, I did some research on the internet and all the website I found say that data is recoverable.
Answer: data CAN be recoverable, but not IS. What I would do is find out who made the savage drive (Western digital, Seagate, etc.)
Go to the manufacturers site and search for data recovery tools.
Here is one from Western Digital: http://endure.wdc.com/recovery/index.as p?wdc_lang=en
Also, if the hard drive is less than 3 -5 years old, you can probably get it replaced by the producer. I have done this many times. You sent it in, and they send you a refurb |
