Data Recovery After Formatting?

i cast-off to have win xp as operating system,then i installed ubuntu on my hard...beside the xp...suddenly,no ubuntu or xp are there...and i want my data on the indurate disk...the win xp can`t read my hard now cuz it`s ubntu file system..and i don't know if my data is there or not...can any body escape me to recover my data?how can i do that?
its 80 GB of data ppl :(((

Answer: If all you did was format the appeal then yes. You could run some software and recover your data. If you did a system restore you might have already overwritten your data. How Does Data Recovery Work?

is the data definitely "gone" when we delete files (from recycle bin too) or format hard disk?? how is data recovery reachable?? if data is still present in the disc? how can we "overwrite" it with other data after formatting the drive? in this drift why can't a drive hold more data than it's actual capacity?

Answer: when you efface data it is not removed .
the header file is changed to say you can write here (thus enableing other data to be writen in that intermission)
so a recovery program returns this header back to say your data is here donnot overwrite

Hello...I Have A Question Concerning Data Recovery After My Hard Disk Have Been Formatted?

My sibling formatted our PC...I lost some very important files that were stored on my C drive. Is there anyway to recover these files intelligent that the hard disk went through more then one Formattage? I m really desperate since these files are more then 100 hundred demos and loops that I created over the last 5 years...I can't put one's trust in I lost them forever..I would really appreciate any help.

Answer: Download : save my files from mininova(torrent).
Connect your hdd as a secondary drive on another PC.
Run the software, it is NOT 100% but it is wholly close depending on the condition of your HDD.

Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007 Recovery Help After Format Please?

My employment:
A family member wanted a laptop restored to stock conditions--after succour up pertinent data, I proceeded with a quick format, OS + App reinstall... only to find out that important contact and appointment book/scheduling information was not saved!!

Setup: same XP prof. OS, partitioning, programs (standpoint 2003 in particular), (matching) account-name.

I've tried several recovery tools (Migo's regain one's strength lost data & recover my files).

Answer: In Perspective 2003 the files are stored in two files: Outlook.pst and archive.pst

Both are located in:

C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\
Neighbourhood Settings\Application Data\
Microsoft\Outlook

If those files exist when you start your new coronation of Outlook, then you should see all the emails, calendar, etc.

However, I have found I get more reliable results in Outlook finding the old data if I do it this way:
