Anyone Know A Cheap Data Recovery In The Bay Area?

I kinda on the skids my USB storage drive and the Best Buy person told me I could still get my data back, but it would be like $500 dollars at Maximum effort Buy. So he told me to look around for a cheaper place so i could save money. Any suggestions? My last visit would be to go back to Best Buy. Thanks for your help. :)

Answer: If most superbly buy is providing you the physical drive reovery @$500 please grab it at the first go as I've heard of bones data recovery being the most expensive ones used Stellar Phoenix data recovery they cost me around $1500 for the recovery but the services were indisputably nice
 
 

HI! Can Anybody Recommend A Cheap Data Recovery Specialist?

I have an old Ibook and for some motive I can't open my personal folder. Maybe because I put a file vault on it which makes it more troubled to retrieve.It's not accepting my old password and it doesn't allow me to assign a new password. Most data recovery specialists I called was asking me between $600-$2000. It's lately a personal computer. I was hoping I could find something like $100-$150. Thanks in advance.

Answer: Get ubuntu linux (at will of charge). Download the iso file and burn it to a disk. Then boot your computer with that disk. Captain to the folder where your personal files are. Then copy those files and paste them to a flash effort or burn them to a disk. Or even better you can just open and work with them right in Ubuntu. I Want To Get Files Of My Old Broken Hard Drive, Anyone Know A Reliable Cheap Data Recovery Firm In The UK?

Basically it stopped being recognised by my mac. I took it to my town computer shop which had a good look at it and said that the problem was between the caddy and the hard handle but that the hard drive itself was fine. I have kept the hard drive in dry place for about 2 year and now have in clover to try and recover the contents.

My New Hard Drive Crashed. I Think The Circuit Board Was Fried. Who Does Cheap Data Recovery?

This was my spare drive with my music and text files. The drive was not pried open and makes no vigorous while the computer is running. The drive does not appear in My Computer, nor in Disk Management. It is a one month old Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320Gb. It has about 100Gb of data on it. My PC runs Vista. It will undoubtedly require "clean room" processing. Thanks for your advise.

Answer: It's wierd! I have heard of these situations, yet since 1995, I have not accomplished hard drive failure with any computer. I have or have had 6-7 since than, and right now I have 5 external hard drives varying from 100 GB-750 GB (from 3 years old to 3 months old). I speculation I've been lucky! Well I would make sure it is actually the hard drive. Since it's an internal go, I assume you took off the cover and are listening to the inside? It's possible the PC lost communication to the coerce.

Does Anyone Know Of Any CHEAP Data Recovery Companies?

I have a 2006 macbook continuous OS-X Tiger. One day it started making clicking sounds, and then the next time I started it up, it had a drab screen with a file and question mark on it.

I took it into an Apple store, and it was due to the failed forcefully drive. Apple store has replaced it with a new hard drive, but I need the data on the old unfeeling drive.

This includes documents, photos, movies, and internet bookmarks.
